I’m exhausted

We had our pre-listing inspection today. Fortunately, nothing major came up, which thrills me to no end. I was paranoid.

Our “work party” went well on Saturday. The extra furniture and packed boxes are all moved out, and the men cleaned out our 700 square feet of blackberries which makes our already big yard (although still ugly) seem even bigger.

Nate and I went on a cleaning/packing frenzy last night after the kids were in bed which, while it wore me out, did wonders for my mental state.

Now the kicker…

My contractor that has been working on, and is not finished with the bathrooms, and who was supposed to start on my kitchen floor today has the flu.

We are set to list on Wednesday, with walk-throughs starting on Friday, open house on Saturday, barely over a month remaining ’til we move, and I have no idea when my house is going to be put back together.

There is still a toilet in one of my bathtubs.

Is this THE flu? Will it be a 1 day flu? Is there such a thing? When I think of the flu, I think of being flat out for 2 weeks, recovering for another month afterwards because that’s what happened to me.

I want to cry, and I’m sure that once I finish my list of things to do today, and I’m able to sit and rest, I will cry. I’ve already come close.

I’m getting so burned out. I’m tired. I’m being very careful not to lift anything heavy and hurt myself, but I’m staying plenty busy, and it’s wearing me out. The emotional drain contributing, I’m sure.

Plus, I still can’t eat without discomfort. I had a grilled cheese sandwich today for lunch, and it HURTS!!!

Oh, Laura… Hang in there! It’ll all be over soon.

I’m really sorry you can’t eat…there’s nothing worse than that when you need mental and physical strength. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that dude has a 1-day flu, and is using the term “flu” for just feeling under the weather. Is it possible to get someone else in, if he’s really sick?

Good luck. It’s amazing that you guys are doing all this work before listing your house, but that’s really the best way to get full value. That’s what we’ll be doing if/when we sell ours.

Oh, good grief! I sure hope he has that 24 hour flu that I had a few months ago. It was agonizing but it was over relatively quickly. Good luck!
