So, I’ve spent a couple days of knitting time messing with the Colinette.
Circular start is annoying. I’ve done it twice now. I say “twice”, but really, it’s more like 2 dozen times, but only for two projects, the red shawl, and now this one.
The colors are interesting. It’s brownish, blackish, lavender-y, and kind of a champagne color. I’m planning on making this a multi-colored shawl, but I don’t know what other yarns I’ll use yet. Kat Coyle’s multi-colored lace shawls have always been inspiring to me, and I’m finally going to try it.
BUT, I said I was only going to test the yarn out, and now I need to get started on the Shetland Triangle.
Before I go, I wanted to show you the gorgeous yarn and pattern that arrived from Carol’s sock club a couple weeks ago.
I’m a sucker for red anything, and the color is called “Thirst”, which I think is perfect!

So, you ended up signing up for her sock club?

Isn’t the yarn gorgeous? I finished my first sock, and I am just SO thrilled with it. Thanks so much for sharing the club details on your blog!

Both yarns and projects are so lovely. Your Angel Lace shawl turned out very well, too. 🙂
