Nothing whatsoever. BUT, it does pertain somewhat to Health Group, which is tomorrow.
I spent the day yesterday getting the area of my garage that you see being occupied by a workbench ready for a TREADMILL that my husband’s wonderful sister, and her husband, kindly and lovingly donated to the cause of my health. That is the “before” picture. The “after” picture will come tomorrow, as I am not yet done. Right now, the treadmill is up and running, but the garage isn’t quite settled yet. I ended up going through the entire garage, once again justifying the existence and space worthiness of everything in it. I love getting rid of stuff. The problem is that when cleaning a garage, you inevitably end up with things to dispose of that can’t just be thrown in the trash. Sigh. I have a bucket of toxins that will need to be hauled off somewhere and disposed of responsibly. It’s such a hassle. Because I dislike it so, I am very careful what chemicals I buy, to avoid any unnecessary disposal problems.
As you can imagine, I didn’t get any knitting done on Abby’s backpack. I have high hopes for this weekend.

I don’t know if they have it in your area but here (wichita, kansas) we have Freecycle. It’s a group where you can post items that you don’t want but don’t want to throw away and then people e-mail you and come pick-up the items. It have been wonderful for us.

Just off Aurora at 130th on the road that Cash & Carry is on (but going the other way from C&C) is a “trash” place that is gov’t op’d that specifically takes “hazardous” and such materials specifically for things like what you’re dealing with. We’ve taken lots of stuff there. I don’t think it cost anything, but if it was, it was really cheap cheap, because they don’t want people to take that stuff to the dump or throw it in their trash cans. I’ll ask Art for sure. They take paint, chemicals, all the nasties.

Wow Jackie, that sounds cool. I don’t know of anything like that around here.
Thanks Gayle, we’ll look into it.
