There are some great mitts being knit.
Stephanie’s are done and fantastic.
Carol has finished two pair. I’ve seen them in person, they’re lovely. Mary’s getting a lot of Koigu. Lucky girl!
Suzette has finished one and it looks like it’ll be neat on a hand.
Anyone else have anything to show?
I have a cute picture of Clark
I’ve done a little bit on my purple mitts, but I’ve ripped a little back, and I think I’m going to rip the rest of the gusset and start it over.
I hate writing patterns. I don’t hate making things up and having to rip and redo to get it right. I hate writing the pattern. But I do, because I’ll probably want to knit it again someday, or something similar, and I’d feel like an idiot making all the same mistakes over again. Plus, I know many of you want it.
But I hate writing patterns.

Do you have a time frame in mind for these mitts? She’ll have a continuing need, correct? I’d like to try a pair but I’m not sure how quickly it will be done.
Clark is adorable! I haven’t seen him in ages (we’ve met a few times at Eastside Stitchers) and suddenly he has grown up. He looks a lot like the photos of your girls I have seen. Too cute!

I love the picture of Clark. He’s SOOOO cute!!!! There little men are hams for the camera aren’t they? Everyone’s mitts are looking great! You’ll have to take a pic of all of them together so we can see how many she’s getting. It’ll be great!!!

I have my mitts nearly done. Eventually I’ll need you to send me your mailing address…

I think I need to frog mine (sob) and start again. They’re a bit loose on the wrist area, although they’d probably fit just fine on her hand. Maybe I’ll keep knitting until I reach the thumb and see.

Mine are finished! I just need to get around to snapping some good photos and blogging them…

you may hate writing patterns, but I’m sure it will turn out well. You’re too good a knitter. You’ve also been tagged for a meme. See my blog for the rules!

I started a pair of fingerless mitts last night – I hope to finish them this weekendish. 🙂 I hope they will fit. I am not 100% sure about how I will adjust it to be shorter for the pinky but I’ll manage somehow! I also remembered I have one Knuck already completed somewhere in my stash; I might get around to finishing the second one if I can find those too.

OK – what are your thoughts on whether fingerless mitts or fingerless gloves are a better way to go? The pair I’m working on are intended to be fingerless mitts but now I’m thinking that still leaves her fingers open to a fair bit of chill, so maybe fingerless gloves will be more useful?
