Michelle emailed me to say that she had success in connecting with Interweave Knits for the doll pattern. Hooray!

Again, it’s the Best Friend Doll pattern by Sandy Cushman from Summer 2002. Thank you, Michelle.
My poor baby boy woke up sick today. He has a fever and no energy, but he’s so sweet and cuddly, I’ve been enjoying it a little bit. I tried to take a picture of him in his high chair when I saw his little eyes at half-mast and zoned out,
but when I got close enough to get the picture, he perked up a little bit
for a brief moment before sinking back against the side of the chair. He turns 1 on Tuesday, I can hardly believe it.
The girls had their first softball game last night.
We won! Depending on who you ask, the final score was either 6-4 or 7-4. All I know is that it was 2 hours and Veronica and Clark were bored. Abby was hit by a pitch, putting her on base where she ultimately scored a run. Lots of girls were getting hit with pitches. Fortunately, they aren’t throwing very hard yet. Liv had a single or two, in addition to being hit by a pitch, putting her on base a few times.
Nate was the volunteer Umpire, and an animated Ump he was.
He had to ump with a huge bandage on his nose from basal cell surgery on Monday. (Non-malignant skin cancer). What a trooper.

Before anyone else gets the chance, I’ll state the obvious:
Your menfolk are adorable!

There is part of me that likes it when the kids get sick like that too….they are so huggable and snuggleable. But then again….I hate it when they get like that too because there isnt’ much you can do to get them to feel better. And owwie on the nose surgery thing. But thank goodness he’s fine. Hooray for the girls and I must say…you are a brave woman taking the 2 little ones to sit there for 2 hours by yourself!!! Braver than me. I would have taken a friend so I could have had back up!
