Great week! I have a chart I’m keeping that gets a star if I have my homemade shakes for breakfast and lunch, snack well, and exercise. If I exercise early enough, I can get a star for the day before noon! I have a star on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. One of those days I had two fried eggs instead of a shake for breakfast, but I was still happy with that.
I’ve also been drinking a lot of water, which is another goal of mine. And I’ve started growing my wheatgrass again!
The first tray should be ready in a few days, and my blood is going to need the cleansing when my cells start dumping junk.
For some reason, it hasn’t been hard this week. I don’t know why, since I’m doing what I’ve been trying to do since the beginning of summer last year, and haven’t seemed to manage yet but right now, it’s not hard. I’m really excited about finally having a little bit of momentum.
We bought a scale last night, so I’ve finally updated the Health Group information in the sidebar. It was difficult giving up the stats from my all time high, which I’ve been clinging to to make me feel good, even though there hasn’t been any progress in the last couple of years. It was a leap of faith to start at 0 again.
How are you doing? Anyone else starting the year off well?

Yay, Laura! You’ll have to tell me what you put in your wheatgrass juice (or do you just drink it in shots?) There’s nothing wrong with eating eggs for breakfast – in WW, those are only 2 points each and are considered good protein. The other day I had a sandwich for lunch with one fried egg, a slice of ham, and 1 oz of cheddar for 9 points. I’m currently supposed to stay within 35 pts a day (I’ve got 10 extra pts for nursing,) and I’ve been doing great this week. I’m so glad we’ve made a group with a common goal – it’s made me a lot more motivated. Late afternoon yesterday I got out for a walk (even though it was cold and sprinkling rain) and this morning I’m up early to go to the gym. Finding time to work out isn’t easy with the little ones, but I think the result will be well worth it!

Oh, and if I lose the 50 lbs I’ll be at 147.5. My ultimate goal is to be 140… with my clothes on! I think this will be a healthy weight for my 5’3″.

I did my best to eat well this week. I did go to Arby’s for lunch one day, but did really well the rest of the week. No excercise as I’m still coughing away. Hoping to see some results next week.

Yay! Good for you Laura.
Also, yes, the picture of Veronica and Clark was very cute.

Do you grow your wheat grass in the dark? Great kids pic!
