First of all, I have to say that once again I am not getting all of my email. I don’t know why.
As for Mistletoes-
Go look at Amy Lu’s beautiful stocking Wow. Wow. I’m liking her thought on popcorn balls, too. Sounds like a very economical way to fill a stocking.
Anyone else? You all know where I’m at with mine, so let me ask you….
Do you think I should incorporate argyle into the gusset? (That’s what I’m leaning towards). Should I do stripes as Amy Lu suggested and as is seen on hers? Or should I do a solid color gusset? What do you think?

Your argyle is coming along so well!
I think I’d incorporate the argyle into the gusset, but that’s just me.
I have no new progress to report. Maybe one of these days, soon, I’ll get back to it!

I finished the first stocking. I’m thinking of felting it a little and then embroidering the name instead of trying to do dup. stitch. I, of course, have never tried to embroider. . .perhaps the duplicate stitch will be easier.
I am currently working on a b-day gift, but have cast on the second stocking and anticipate some forward progress soon. And, Laura, the argyle is amazing! I’d go with either a solid or argyle gusset. It’s just lovely!

I agree with Carrie, solid or argyle for the gusset – it looks amazing! I can’t wait to see a photo of them all lined up in a row – they will look beautiful!
I’m not much further along than when I last updated on my blog. Right now I’m in the middle of sewing many, many ruffled baby blankets to sell at a craft fair on Sunday and I’ve got my work cut out for me tonight and tomorrow! I’m hoping I’ll get some time to knit at the craft fair but I doubt I’ll be able to concentrate enough to knit the stocking . . . even so, there will be stocking progress next week!

That’s a lovely sock!
I see a solid blue gusset and toe.

Thank you for the kind comments!
I think you’ll come up with the perfectly best, most clever way to conquer the gusset. You’re a brilliant stocking designer, we’ll all be awed!
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I love the stocking, Laura. I think it was worth all of the work. I absolutely love the argyle! Oh and I would probably do a solid gusset of blue.
