Every time I sat down to do Health Group yesterday, Clark decided he needed to eat immediately. So the post is late.
I weigh about 219 right now. And I can cross my legs relatively comfortably! So I guess I lost some weight during the months I couldn’t eat. This surprises me somewhat, since what I did eat when I could eat was junk, but it looks like I lost some weight just the same.
I still think it’s mostly muscle.
But, to help take advantage of the situation, I went grocery shopping and bought some food to make healthy meals. Like fantastic salads for lunches. I had one today. Mmmmmm. And some good crockpot meals, since my energy is ok during the day, but fades real quick as the sun starts to go down.
It’s SO nice to be able to eat again!
How’s it going for you?

breastfeeding also burns a LOT of calories – 500-750 on a regular day, as many as 1200 during growth spurts (which Clark is likely to hit in another week or so).

I admire your resolve to start back with healthy meals right away. In the early days with my kids, I was too tired to think about healthy eating. Of course, I’m always tired so I’ve got to stop using that as an excuse!
Nothing good is going on with me. I exercised for about an hour last week, but that’s it. I started a new blog devoted to my weight loss trials at http://www.extrapounds.com in hopes that it will inspire me to get back on track.

219! That’s fantastic! You are 6 pounds lighter post pregnancy than before…neat trick!
I am same old, same old. Today I had an ugly day. I just felt so…ugh. My hair is long overdue for a cut and my skin isn’t looking so hot, and that’s enough to make me want to hide inside and it’s not very motivating. My sister promised she’d make us a couple of appointments, and once I feel better because my hair looks better, I think that will be a motivator to get back on track. I hope.

I’ve decided to start get moving again. I’m going to start out slow with push ups (against the wall – since I’m a weakling) and stomach crunches. I want to do them everyday. Once I hit a week solid I’ll add something else.
My weight is right about when I was nursing Harrison (down 20 from my all time “non-pregnancy weight), but I’m still flabby. The only way to firm up is through moving so I’m going to start. I’ll let you know my progress next week when you post again!

It’s great to hear that enthusiasm in your posts again! YAY!!! You really aren’t THAT far off from where you… well.. you know… started denying you were pregnant! Hee hee! You shall have all our support and may the weight slip away quickly!
I went swimming this morning! Then I’ve eaten 4 Chocolate Chip cookies, thanks to Sandie, my neighbor who brought them over.
At least I didn’t sit down on the couch with the entire bag!
