Mutual Acceptance

That means that we’ve all signed the papers, and now wait for the inspection on Friday. This is good. We’ve already had an inspection, and theoretically, the buyers have reviewed it, so there shouldn’t be any surprises.

We just came back from my doctor appt. The baby is nowhere near my bladder or cervix, he’s laying sideways, nestled in my stomach, liver, and ribs.

I knew this already, except for the sideways part. My next appt in 2 weeks is when they start doing the internal exams. Then the appointments come weekly. Are we there already?

Lovely.

You are all angels for bearing with my complaining for the last 7 months. I’ve been a total drag.

Yesterday the girls and I went to the new house to measure the pond, and check out the mechanics of it so I can start to learn about pond keeping, and what I need to do to get it ready for the spring and summer. According to the measurements, it looks like we have about a 600 gallon pond. I’m guessing the filter will have to be replaced, and it will definitely need to be vacuumed out. Lots of tree debris.

The girls had a good time on the deck while I measured and investigated.

(In fact, we were there for 45 minutes, and they still protested when it came time to leave).

This is going to be fun. Aside from the fact that I’m fish obsessed, and have always wanted a pond, this gives me something to do/think about now that I’m mostly finished packing, and we’re just waiting around for the long process of closing and waiting.

I don’t feel well enough to knit. Sounds silly, but when I knit, I just think about how uncomfortable it is having a kid in my stomach.

If I eat, it hurts. If I don’t eat, I throw up. And the pain from eating varies. Sometimes it’s an extremely sour stomach. Sometimes, it’s just general pain. Sometimes, it’s instant, hideous heartburn.

This kid needs to drop into my pelvis, which he’s nowhere near right now.

I absolutely adore your new deck! This is a wonderful picture and reminds me of tree houses. I totally understand why the girls didn’t want to leave – who wants to leave the fun treehouse?

And no need to apologize for “complaining” for the last 7 months! It’s hardly sounded like complaining, just the hard truth of life. Hopefully he scoots on down to your pelvis soon and then into your lap!

Let’s hope for a premie! You should be able to do that — just issue this kid an eviction notice. He’ll be so much more fun on the outside, anyway.

Oh the agony of the last few weeks! Bleh. And you’re moving too. You are a woman of steel.
A POND! So much fun. Congrats! Only the die hards do ponds in Alaska because they have to keep an equal size tank in their house for winter.

    Very cool deck!

Have you ever heard of “curb walking”? My midwife had me do that with Harry in my last few weeks. It involves walking down the street with one foot in the gutter and the other on the curb. (Hopefully you’ve chosen a clean street.) Walk down a few blocks, and then turn around so your other foot is on the curb. (If you have your girls do it with you, you won’t look so strange) Supposedly this opens up your pelvis on one side and encourages the baby to wiggle down into position. I swear I dropped after trying this, but again, I only had 3 weeks to go anyway.

    Good luck!!!

I can just picture sitting on the bench under that huge tree, and knitting!! No wonder you loved that deck, it looks like a vacation kinda deck, hehe! Is that the heartburn that feels like an icepick in your chest??Nope, don’t miss that at all…….

Have you been to http://www.spinningbabies.com/ There are all kinds of exercises one can do to get the baby to turn and/or drop. My favorites were pelvic tilts & the cat/cow pose from yoga, because they both made my back feel better.

Love the deck! No wonder the girls didn’t want to leave. You are doing such an amazing job, what with three girls, a baby on the way, packing and moving! You are awesome! Hang in there! Food’s overrated. Well, that’s not true, but I thought it might help you feel better. :0)
