Health Group- Year 2, week 18

We’re off on a 2 1/2 hour drive to an all day wedding celebration, so I need to post real quick before we leave. I’m hoping I’ll make it through the day. Helping at the school from 9-2:30 yesterday about killed me, and I was sitting down for most of it, so I have cause for concern.

This week, I did an hour of weights and physical therapy on Thursday. It was great. My pecs still hurt, and I like it!

I weighed in at 228.5. This is a little high for me. I’ve been 226, pretty much since August, and I’ve made a sudden jump. It’s fluids, right? :-).

How’re you doing?

Hi Laura! Well, I hope you make it through the wedding all right!
I missed posting last week because we went to the cabin again. THEN, when we got home late in the evening, my twenty year old son was on the floor with a fever of 104! The A/C was off, and the house smelled of garbage, and there were dishes……… hmmm, no matter what the age, they can’t manage without mommy!
Anyway, I am real close to a 40 pound total, but not quite. The farmer had really good apple cidar, and I drank alot of it. There were a couple of pounds going up and down for the past several days. We did ALOT of hiking again last weekend at the farm, but I haven’t done any since I’ve been home. However, I am more active than before. My cousin calls it “fidgety”.
I am not happy to sit in front of the computer for hours anymore. Even if I knit, or watch TV, I jump up periodically to go do something else. I don’t know if this has to do entirely with my weight loss, or if a contributing factor may be the fact that my Dr. took me off of one of my blood pressure meds.I had taken that med for years to prevent my frequent migraines, but now it appears that it was making my asthma harder to treat. I remember people telling me that particular med would make me feel tired. I just know that I am up and down all the time now, and maybe that helps burn a few extra calories.
I hope it will also mean that I get a grip on the housework, haha!

Whenever I’m pregnant, I take it as license never to check the scale (unless I’m at the doctor’s office…) At home, I completely ignore my weight – it’s so nice to not worry about it!

Well, better late than never, I get to report for the first (and last) time in my life…

    I’VE LOST FORTY POUNDS!!!!

That leaves 61 to go until Art has to buy me a Corvette and eat some serious Cottleston Pie.
