Ok, real quick because it’s been a busy day, and I have to leave soon…
I was able to do an hour of physical therapy and weights on Thursday, and I actually hit the treadmill on Friday! It was a pathetic attempt. I did a total of 35 minutes, and was never able to get above my warm up speed of 2.6 mph. But my heart rate was up, and I broke a sweat, so I know I did some good. It took ’til about 16 minutes before I felt any trace of “good exercising vibe”. I was just exhausted for most of it.
How’d you do?

Girl, I say you did a great job! I couldn’t lift the remote control during my first trimester. BTW, 2.6 mph is my huffing-and-puffing level and you call it a warmup!

Oops, I forgot to post how I did. I lost 1/2 lb this week, which is great considering that I thought I gained 2 lb. It is comforting to know that I have lost something at every single weigh-in, but I also know that I could lose 2 lb a week if I stuck to my journalling.
I’m having problems with a painful right heel, so I am going to do yoga and floor exercises this week to give it a rest. This same problem derailed me two years ago (I was walking one hour a day and the weight was falling off), but I don’t have insurance to get it looked at. I can’t get fancy walking shoes, either, so I just need to work around it.

Well it wasn’t warm up speed for me on Friday!

I noticed I haven’t commented on the Health Group for ages… I missed both my excercise group and ballet class this weekend as I caught a mystery cold with no other symptoms whatsoever than a lost voice and a strange feeling in the chest. The husband thought it’d be best not to excercise until the strangeness goes away.
But weight loss is going really well. I’m down over 15 kilos from when I started in May. I guess that’d be roughly 30 pounds. I was originally aiming at 10 kilos by December, but now it seems I might get to 20! (Let’s not discuss the 30 or so extra kilos I’ll still have after that, right?)

That’s wonderful about the 15 kilos! Good job and I hope you’re feeling better soon!

All you have to do is post a comment on a health group entry, which I post every Saturday. You can tell us as much or as little as you want about how and what you’re doing to be healthy. Welcome!
