All that’s left is the washing! It feels good to have mom’s clogs done finally, but what I’m REALLY happy about is having one less bag of yarn stuffed between the couch and side table in the living room. My stash has been growing and spreading recently, and I need to be using it.
So, what’s next? Well…
Why not? Now that I have the hang of this shawl pattern, I might as well make a few. This one is intended for someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for me recently. And believe me, this gift is well deserved.

Wow Girl! You really knitted those clogs fast! I’m so glad I have that pattern. My sister has bought some yarn for me to make her a felted satchel (hmmm…. somewhat like Pete’s bag, I’m afraid.) There’s a lot of yarn so I’m not sure if I’ll use it all – maybe there will be some left to make her a pair of clogs as well. I envy whoever gets to wear that beautiful shawl! Have you seen that “Branching Out” leaf lace scarf on the most recent Knitty? I might try that as my first lace project… we’ll see. Can’t wait for your party tomorrow – Watch out, I’m going to bring cookies!

The clogs look great! They are so cute!
I can’t wait to see how the maroon shawl will look…the other was so beatiful…I’m sure this one will be just as beautiful!

What is the clog pattern? I don’t think I’ve seen it. NICE flower basket. I’m so intimidated by it, but I have at least 2 yarns in my stash that would be great for it.

I just started my first Flower Basket shawl today. It’s such a beautiful pattern, isn’t it? I like the colour you’re using. 🙂

Laura – your clogs are fantastic – amazing that something knit can be used as footwearv – comfortable and warm! I have seen the flowe basket shawl before but I like both colours you chose. Here in Portugal Ponchos were the great hit this winter, but no shrugs nor shawls – maybe it will be the big hit next winter.
Have a lovely birthday today…… Knowing you as little as I do I am sure you are going to make the most of it!
Regards
Barbara
