Good morning. Well, let’s see…. I weighed in pretty heavy this morning. 223. Ugh. I knew I would though. I’ve been quite inactive the past month or so due to being sick, and I haven’t been exercising. This past week was impossible with the trip and all, so I transfer my hopes and intentions to next week. It should go well. I feel extremely motivated. Not just by the scale, but because I feel sluggish and unhealthy. I long for those exercising endorphins again. Plus, I want to hit the weights and start rebuilding muscle. They’ve diminished in the past several months, and I want them back. SO, I am feeling optimistic and happy today.
I’ve caught the juicing bug again. Those of you who have been around might remember that this isn’t new. But I forgot for awhile. It’s jumping into my head again that I need to be juicing and drinking wheatgrass. This means I need to somehow acquire a juicer with wheatgrass capabilities. Does anyone have a good one they can recommend?
Now we’re off to Puyallup for a fiber festival. It’s my first, and I’m very excited!
How was your week?

Well, I gained three pounds this week. No use beating myself up, though. I just have to make a renewed effort next week. I’ve pretty much decided that eDiets was a waste of money for me. I know what to do, but I don’t do it. Also, there is no use paying for a service to create meal plans for me when I can’t get out to buy the stuff on the plan, anyway. I think eDiets is great and it worked for me when I could afford to buy separate meals for myself, but with our current budget I really need to learn how to lose weight while eating what the rest of the family eats.
Someone at work recommended juicing to me, but I can’t see myself drinking wheatgrass or carrot juice. I am a bit too attached to processed foods to go THAT natural :-).

I’m happy to say that not only did I lose a pound this week (it’s about time, I had been maintaining for months), but my MIL took both of the non-babies today and I have essentially the day off!
I don’t know much about juicing, but is wheatgrass one of those things that would be essentially free of calories? That would be a great way to get green leafy things easily. Keep us posted!

Dani- I know I’m in the minority, but I LOVE highly natural foods. I’m not one for going all raw, or vegetarian, but I love extremely healthy eating. I wish it didn’t take so much effort!
Elspeth- You know, I have no idea what the caloric content of wheatgrass juice is. That’s a good question, however my healthy attempts do not include calorie counting.
Congratulations on your pound lost!
Heidi- I wish you could have been there.

I’ve been lurking on your blog awhile. This morning I’m headed to Weight Watchers to sign up for the umpteenth time. I am determined to be successful this time though! Do you know if there is a knitter/weight loss web ring? Would you be interested in joining one if there isn’t one already started? Thanks for being so open about your weight loss journey. 😉

I have no idea if there’s a web ring like that. I’ve never heard of one. As for joining… I don’t know. I’ve never joined a ring before. I don’t know why, it just sounds a bit intimidating to me. But I’d consider it.
Thanks for reading! Good luck with your Weight Watchers. My very good friend and neighbor has done it for years, and has had tremendous success. She looks fabulous.
