I think I’ve finally found the perfect project for my lovely Elsebeth Lavold Angora.
I love it, I love it, I Do!
It’s the gorgeous lacy shrug pattern from the new Knitty.
It looks to be the right gauge, but I haven’t swatched yet. I wear my green Kathmandu shrug all the time, so having another shrug makes practical sense. Elsebeth Lavold’s intoxicating Angora yarn doesn’t make practical sense, like, ever, but it was one of those times when I knew I had to have it. I think it’s the first time I’ve bought yarn with no project in mind. I bought the whole bag. Fortunately, I had a bunch of store credit, or I never could have brought it home. But that color of red had my name on it, and I wasn’t about to let it slip away.

That is an excellent use for such a heavenly yarn!

I love the I Do pattern, and am having trouble deciding between it and the A Good Bias shrug in Interweave Knits. That reminds me, where did you get the Kathmandu shrug pattern? It is so pretty!

Ohh! I like the yarn…I like that pattern too…I’ve been thinking about adding it to my “Do” list.
Hee…

That’s on my to-do list as well. I lovelovelove that red. I may have to start searching out some yarn for I Do, after I finish this http://www.whiteliesdesigns.com/patterns/lcardigans/502.html

Yep, that’s on my to do -list too. Of course, so are a few hundred other patterns too. 😉 I did start the Branching out scarf though, it’s lovely too, and a quicker project (and more suited for the gift it will be). 🙂

Ooh, that’s my fave pattern from spring knitty. It’ll look gorgeous in that red. As soon as I find a substitute yarn , I’m starting too.

Good choice – I loved that pattern.
Will look lovely in red angora. I am knitting “Bella Paquita” in blu angora and it knits up perfectly. Similar shade of Blue as modell.

That’ll make a gorgeous I Do. Every time I see that picture, I want to go get married in a sleeveless dress just so I can knit one and look all pretty.

I’ve got some cotton yarn for I Do, but am probably out of my mind considering I have a baby arriving in the next 4 weeks. Laura, it seems you have a lot of comments. Maybe you would have a knitalong?

Yes, yes! An I Do-along! I’m knitting it too, as soon as I find yarn for it.
