I woke up this morning and the first conscious thought I had was, “(gasp), my wedding ring’s gone!”
I’ve looked everywhere. Stripped the bed. Moved everything. I have no memory of taking it off, and I always know where I’ve taken it off on the rare occasions when I do. It’s just gone, and as ridiculous as it sounds… I’m afraid that maybe I ate it in my sleep.
That’s the only thing I can think of. I don’t know what to do.
So I’m getting almost nothing done as I pace the house, wracking my brain for where it could possibly be.
Oh, and on a completely less consequential note, I’ve started the sleeve to Clark’s sweater.

You think you ATE IT?! I pray that you didn’t-but at least you would be able to find it in a couple of days-eeew.

Does your hubby have it? One morning PC woke me up trying to get my ring off— he needed it for size for another ring (a gift). It was sweet, but i would have killed him.
Also, look btween the matress and box spring…

Hey, how about offering the kids a prize for finding it? It’s gotta be there somewhere. They might think to look in totally wierd places.

Ohhhh, I know that feeling. I lost my wedding ring the day I got it. We found it 6 months later, after we had already replaced it. I hope it turns up!!

Oh, no! You must feel ill. I’m sure it will turn up, but I hope it’s sooner than later.

Oh no, I hope it turns up really soon – I know how sick it makes me feel when I can’t find mine. I tend to take it off at night though – I thread it onto my watch band and close it so my kids can’t take it off and it doesn’t snag on the pillows or make indents on my face. 🙂 How odd that it disappeared in the night… I like Kate’s theory that perhaps your man took it for sizing purposes, but be careful about getting hopes up about that! 🙂

OH NO!!! I lost mine once. It was the last time I had lost a lot of weight. It would fling off of my finger occasionally (sadly..this is no longer the case) but I found it later behind a clothes hamper.
Did you take it off the other day when you scrubbed your bells?
I hope you find it soon 🙂

Did you find it, Laura?

ooh I hope you find it. Errr Clark didn’t eat it did he???? Just a thought!!
Mayby you took it off by the sink when you were cleaning your bells.
Or is it tangled up in your yarn? Look in the last place you were doing something.

Ask your kids…once my son took mine and put it in his pocket (he was about 4 at the time) because he saw it on my dresser and thought I might have lost it. Check the laundry…and good luck!
Oh, also, once mine slipped off my hand onto the floor of the car–the backseat floor. I was frantic because I didn’t notice until much later (after hysterically calling every store I had been in that day.) If your ring is a little too big, check the floor of the car.

So sad to hear about your ring! Did you do any dyeing lately that required you to wear gloves? Put hand lotion on any time recently? My best friend had taken her rings off to put lotion in her hands, forgot to put them back on, stood up and then they were lost. She had been sitting in the car. Weeks later I found one of her rings just inside the grass along her driveway while just standing there talking to her. The other one wasn’t far away. I hope you find your ring soon.

Don’t worry, give it 24hrs & look for it. It will probably turn up when you’re thinking a little more clearly.

Hey could your rings have fallen down a air vent???
Have you found them by rare chance????
Mayby little clark took them and put them in his room.
Oh I hope you find them soon Jean

I lost my retainer (!) – not nearly as sad to lose as a ring – but here’s where it ended up: it fell down onto the ledge of the metal mattress frame! I searched and searched under and near the bed and bedside table because I knew it was lost right around the time I woke up. Hours later I thought to look in the bed frame itself. Hope that’s where your ring is.
