You could’ve beat me with the skeptical stick! But check this out-
Can you freaking believe that? They were HUGE before felting!!! I have to say, I’m amazed. I’m glad, certainly, but amazed. Don’t they look cozy?
After Nate came home and tried them on, we determined they are still a little big. They’re perfect in length, but they’re too wide. I’m going to throw them back in the washing machine and see if we can’t get them a bit smaller. My thought is that if they shrink some more, I can stretch them to get back to the right length, while eating up some of the width.

Wow-e-wow-wow! I was a bit skeptical too! They look absolutely perfect! What did you use to dry them on?

Those are amazing! I thought they would felt down to the right size, but they are so much more awesome than I thought they would be. I bet you could block him on his feet for a really super snug fit.

And because wool is warm while still wet – the best time to block them on his feet is just before they are completely dry.
Squish, squish.
Seriously, you are right – you can slightly alter the shape after a felted project shrinks, but only slightly.

Those are just totally cool.

I haven’t checked here in a while and I’ve missed your whole hospital ordeal. Glad you’re okay. I have the same problem at the dentist, only I don’t pass out. I panic – screaming, crying…it’s bad. And no one believes me it’s going to happen until I actually freak out. I’m not exaggerating, people! Phobic!

You SHRANK them?! And to think, we were all so impressed by the size of Nate’s feet…all kidding aside, they are very cool!

1. The clogs look great.
2. It’s fine to join in the middle of a row if you weave in the ends in a “duplicate stitch” manner and aren’t working with very fine yarn. I said so, and I’ve been knitting longer than Becky. 😉
(No doubt she’ll get me for saying that!)
3. Finally, someone else with a ton of White Buffalo Unspun on their hands! (I have 15 skeins – I think in the same color!) Let me know how it works out for you.
