Well, maybe once. But it was a freak thing.
Clark has taken to decorating the house with (fortunately) water color markers. So far, it’s only been the sliding glass door. Today however, he took on my bathroom. I’m having a difficult time getting the blue out of my grout and off from around the edges of the white travertine tiles.
So lame.
I am still overwhelmingly fatigued from being sick. I don’t feel sick anymore, exactly, but I’m seriously dragging. And next week is huge. Well, the rest of the month is huge. SO much going on. And I want to crawl into a little hole and hibernate for a year or so.
I am so hiding the Sharpies.

My 4 year old son decided to decorate my bedside table (handmade by my husband!) in Sharpie. We haven’t figured out what to do yet.

Magic Erasers have gotten marker off of everything Bronwyn has colored on. (sorry Kathode, she never decorated wood) I also use these on a regular basis to clean grout; they seem to work the best for me.
Sorry to hear you still not recovered. Hopefully it will be soon.

Oh no, reminds me of the time my boys decorated the carpet with acrylic paint! When it’s nice out, you can give him a paint brush and a small pail of water – then the artist can go to town without harming anything. 🙂

My brother got into my nail polish when he was little and decorated the bathroom. Mostly the tub. At least nail polish remover took care of that.

Oh yes….Riley has decorated the walls when i wasn’t looking….with a sharpie. I used hairspray on it which took some of it off and then got a magic eraser and got most (including paint) off of the wall. I have som leftover paint out in the shed but haven’t bothered to get it yet. It’s totally lame.

Oh Laura,
Just yesterday I was helping Abby erase the pencil marks she made on the office door. Shortly after that, she did her first haircut. . . meaning, she cut her own hair for the first time and then artfully glue-sticked it to some construction paper. And, just this morning I had to wipe the marker off her arms, legs and face. Ah, the artists! And, yes, the sharpies are WELL hidden in this house! Hope you feel better soon.

Dry erase markers come out of everything! Ask me how I know…
I love the Clark stories, keep ’em coming!

As my mom (mom of two boys, one girl) says “boys will do things girls never even thought to do!”
My brothers got into the oil based housepaint and painted a baseball diamond (very badly) on the driveway when they were 6 and 8. They also shave 1/2 the german shephard (you aren’t supposed to shave them!) — poor thing itched for months.

Yikes!! You’re right…hide the Sharpies! One of mine colored his entire stomach with Sharpies, including the inside of his belly button. They do not wash out easily!
Clark is a doll though!

Stock up on Mr. Clean bars. My daughter was a scribbler, so they came in handy. They took crayon off of a plastic kiddy table and permanent marker off of our dry erase board!

I concur about the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and just wanted to clarify the exact name of them, and that they do work on wood. We got Sharpie out of our hardwood floors with them.
Laura, sorry to hear that your still so zapped. Hope you feel more energetic quickly!

At least the color he is using matches your wall:) Maybe the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser would work-that thing has gotten a lot of my messes cleared up! Feel better soon….
