Good morning. Sorry this is late. I’ve been assembling a garter stitch rabbit for a birthday party, and the morning got away from me. I haven’t even had breakfast or dressed yet.
I had a pretty good week.
Monday, I did weights and 50 minutes on the treadmill.
Tuesday, I did the same.
Wednesday, I did my physical therapy stretches and treadmill. (I don’t know why I haven’t been getting the stretching done. I do the PT exercises during my weight routines, but the stretches for some reason have been getting neglected.)
Thursday, I did the treadmill for 50 minutes.
Friday, I did treadmill for 45.
Today I am going to do treadmill and upper & lower body weights. That way, I will have done upper body twice and lower body twice this week. I can be happy with that.
Fortunately, the couple pounds I seem to have gained over the summer are gone. Woo hoo! I’m HOPING that the treadmill will break this @*$?&! plateau I’ve been on for a few months. It’s killing me.
UPDATE- I’ve done my weights, upper and lower body. Still haven’t eaten, so I need to take care of that, then I’ll jump on the treadmill and celebrate a successful week! Not one lazy day this week!
How was your week, ladies?

LAURA!!! SUCH LANGUAGE! I’m so proud of you. Hee hee hee. Well, I am willing to admit that this week, I did NO “exercise” in the “workout” or “gym” sense of the word. I do, however, feel like I have been ran over by a Mac truck and am completely sore as we spent all last week in hard labor: tearing apart the garage, my sewing room (I could only take so much of his garage) and working outside. This week we have spent some time in the evenings working on those projects as well. Tomorrow we paint the new shed. Also, I just got a great new job and have spent the past few days at my old place of work packing up my office and loading it out. It may not sound like much, but when you work somewhere for a really long time and put in really long hours, it is amazing how much stuff you have; pictures, furniture, etc. SO, I claim that as my workout. I certainly FEEL like it’s been a serious workout. I am looking forward to the flexibility of the new position to allow me better workout opportunities. Although, I don’t think I can ever do what Laura’s putting in. THAT IS AMAZING!

I must be more stressed than I thought, cause I could SWEAR that I posted a comment earlier today! Great job, Laura , on losing your summer pounds!
My weight is still the same. I did 5 days where I walked for 60-65 min. I was really working at walking longer. Ha! Stress is causing me to nibble. Hope the pink bunny went well!

Well, I have good news. Nate pointed out on my weight chart that on the first day of summer, I weighed in at 233, and now I’m 226. So technically, I lost 7 pound over the summer. It sure didn’t feel like it. But it was a pleasant surprise to discover!

Hey there!
Thanks for inviting me to post on your HEALTH GROUP– and supercongrats to you for losing seven pounds– woohoo!
Exercise-wise, I didn’t do much. I took maybe a twenty minute walk Mon-Wed, but was too harried to even leave the house Thu and Fri (dog was not happy). I made up for it over the weekend by taking dog on a big walk on Saturday… then on Sunday we walked all over Chelsea for baby-shopping and window-shopping. We got home at seven and the husband turned in at 9pm (very unusual, he usually passes out on sofa around 1am). Didn’t do the yoga last week, may try this week. May even drag husband since he has day off on Thursday.
Food-wise (my big big obstacle), I did pretty okay, no cupcakes! Organic brunch on Sunday w/ wholewheat pancakes and scrambled eggs and sweet potatoes. I picked up the Perricone Clear Skin Prescription (PCOS is not kind) and it’s motivated me to eat ‘cleaner’. The recommended diet is a lot like the ‘Flat-Flush’ diet, which is like my low-glycemic/low-fat health regiment. Starting Thursday, I want to try the hardcore three-day diet which consists of mostly veggies and fish.
We shall see.
Good luck to you and ladies this week!!
