Wow, winter break is almost over, and I. am. tired.
We made our annual trip to the Seattle Center to see the Aerialistas.
How exactly they manage to do all of that upside-down-swinging-stuff without falling out of the revealing outfits they’re already falling out of is a mystery to me.
Even acknowledging the existence of Super Glue.
New Years was great. We had 5 families over, kids and all, and still managed to play party games with the adults. For the countdown, we all squished into our basement family room
and watched the lack of fireworks at the Space Needle show. Hearing all the kids yelling the countdown was fun.
I’m looking forward to getting Christmas put away and thereby having room to set my fountain out again. I miss that thing.
I’m stalled out on knitting. I’m dying to sit and relax with the needles, but I’ve had a hard time committing to a project, mainly because everything I’d like to knit, I want to spin the yarn for. Maybe I’ll start some socks.

oh my goodness you guys are brave! 5 families with kids and all? EEK! I think I would totally have a nervous break down.
I am so glad the holidays are over. I love them but hate them all at the same time. The kids went back to school today and John back to work. I still got nothing done. This is the first day I’m back on my diet so I was up early and exercise and am STARVING. Ugh. It always takes a few days to get use to. Fun fun fun.
As for socks…I am making myself some “Anniversary Socks” from the Favorite socks book. The first one practically knit itself. The pattern repeat is super easy to memorize and it’s only patterned down the front of the leg. The back is just plain stockinette. I did contrasting heels and toes. (I blogged and took pics today if you are interested in seeing them.) I’m a very happy girl. And amazingly…I’ve already cast on the second sock! The new year is looking up already!

Those ladies look like they’d be a nice painting…maybe clothed a little bit more. Your house looks good! Parties are a lot of work and a lot of fun. I’m glad it’s back to work and school now. Hey…I’m going to be a Cannon Beach the first weekend in May. COme on out!!!

PS Happy New Year to you and your family!

Hairspray works as well as superglue…just sayin’! (Words of wisdom from a former anti-wedgie gymnast!)
