I got on the treadmill this week and intended to do it several times… then Nate decided to paint his office and piled boxes of displaced office stuff on it. I’m not sure when I’ll have access again.
My health efforts are spluttering, but I’m still trying. I wanted to get a decent head start on the New Year so I wouldn’t feel like a complete loser, but loser or not, I’ll be working out in January, along with the majority of humanity.

You and me both. I’m fully restarting my diet on Tues. (Well….I have to be able to drink and have fun tomorrow after all :o) I am actually really looking forward to it and dreading it all at the same time. I have gotten so out of shape. I was reading through my blog and last year I was doing so well…it’s kind of depressing. So…time to start again. If you ever want to get on an elliptical…you are more than welcome to come over and use mine :o) Misery loves company right? Happy New Year!

I hate jumping on bandwagons so much that I am almost tempted NOT to exercise in January. However, I know that I would only be hurting myself so I will be dragging out my exercise videos this week like the rest of the country.
The good news is that I lost 6 lbs during the challenge with my sisters. The goal was to lose 25 lbs between 01 Aug and 31 Dec. I am WELL short of that, but at least I lost 6 lbs that I wouldn’t have lost otherwise.

My efforts spluttered for the last 2 weeks…and I had been doing so darn well! But between migraines, fred (my period), the holidays and being sick, I just didn’t make it to the gym for like 10 days straight. Oh well, all is not lost. I measured again and am happy to report I lost another 7 inches for December, although I gained one pound. Not nearly as good as last month’s loss of 10.5 inches and 3 pounds down, but all told, losing 17.5 inches since Halloween isn’t bad. So it is New Years’ morning and my friend and I went to the gym and did a power sculpting class and an hour of aerobics. We didn’t do weights as she got a nasty migraine, so we headed home. Plan is to be back in the gym tomorrow morning for cardio, weights and yoga class.
So, I leave you with this thought… 2008 and feeling great!
