Mary Sunshine’s doll is coming together nicely. I am faced, once again, with the highly unpleasant task of attaching hair. (It lost its intrigue, oh, 2 or 3 dolls ago).
Absolute tedium. I wish she could put her OWN stupid hair in!
Here’s a question… Tights? or boots? It is difficult to tell in the photo, but the dark color on her legs is that fabulous plum yarn that coifs my doll. Mary Sunshine’s doll is currently without feet on either leg, but before I create them, I’m trying to decide whether to give her plum colored tights or plum colored boots. Nate favors the boots. I think it could go either way, but if I do the tights, I’ll need to figure out what in the world color her shoes should be. Boots would eliminate that dilemma.
Keep in mind that she will have masses of hair. Boots on a girl with masses of hair looks much different then boots on a bald chick. So you’ll need to use some imagination and visualize. What do you think?

Hi Laura! I love how you posed her to do her own hair, how funny! I say go for the boots. For some reason the tights make me think of nuns! Go-go girls in the 60’s had boots and big hair, so why not?

Me too– boots! Another really cute doll!

Me three…boots. Much more chic than tights.
The dolls are awesome!
What yarn do you use?

I love her!!! How cool! Where does this pattern come from? A website, book or magazine? I *must* make some!!!

She looks like she will start singing Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walking” so I say go with the boots. I can’t wait to see her face, you do such good faces!

I’ll vote for boots too, she’ll look super hip. I love your site Laura, I came across it the other day via the bucket hat knit-off. The logo design for your site is just amazing, and reading your site always makes me smile. Even in the midst of getting ready for my wedding (a month away… ack!!!!). So thanks!

Definitely the boots!
Actually, she looks kind of cute bald. In a ‘bad girl’ kind of way. Especially with the boots!

Awesome doll! I vote for boots, too -she is a spunky doll, and boots are far more spunky than tights.

Ahem.
Since I know you take comments made on the blog seriously, I would like to FORMALLY put in my vote, as I have several times informally already, for the boots.
That is all. 🙂
