And now, the Manly sweater
Hi all. I have taken oodles of pictures today, and have sized them for the site. A big thanks to the husband for doing most of the computer work, and showing me stuff. It’ll be slow going, considering he’s learning as he goes as well, he’s just better suited for it. So the sidebar will be changing, slowly but surely, as we figure out how to mess with code and add the fields I want.
Ahem, moving on……
Maggie has been wanting to see the Manly sweater I knit earlier this year for my darling hubby, (very sweet of her), and I am now in a position to accommodate. Happy day! SO, without any further ado……
Nice, no? And just because I can, here’s another!
(Yes, he is pulling weeds in a nice mohair sweater, slacks, and work gloves. He’s cute though!)
This is the Manly sweater from the SnB book. I had to modify the sleeves significantly. Following pattern for the medium size lands you with sleeves for a gorilla, but instead of rewriting the whole pattern, I just messed with the sleeves and got it to work. It is still a nice sweater. I would knit it differently the second time, were that to happen. At the time, I was prepared to frog and reknit it entirely, but the husband was tired of seeing me work on it, and declared it finished. Since it is his sweater, I half-heartedly agreed.
I still fantasize about frogging it one day while he’s at work and knitting it all over again anyway. We’ll see.
So there is my first post with pictures. Let me know if there are any problems viewing anything. I have a WIP to show, but I’ll save it for another day. Probably tomorrow.
